A birthday weekend
RaRa's birthday was on Wednesday. We went out to eat with Ra's friend Lindsay and her daughter Sage. Sage loves Bear. She giggles and smiles whenever Bear is around. It's so cute.
On Friday night we took a short jaunt across lake Champlain to see Grandpa Jim for his birthday. At one point Grandpa asked, "soon she'll be totally in charge." Non answered, "she already is." Bear had two helpings of ice cream cake. And made everyone laugh.

Night-night
Tonight Bear and I had a good heart to
Heart about bedtime. Lately, it's been really challenging; lots of screaming, crying, and calling us back in over and over. So tonight I talked her like the big girl she is. We made a deal. We even shook on it. She agreed that she would not call us up, and she would stay in her bed with books, her two toys (Abby and Lion), and her music. She did get up and play Legos, but when I went in we had a calm reminder about our deal and she got back into bed without any fuss at all. Progress.
Gymnastics show
Well, she's amazing, and obviously built to do just this. I welled up watching our little munchkin follow her routine and look so proud doing it. She's amazing, flexible and coordinated. She's a gymnast. And as I we listened to the coaches speak of their 18 years or gymnastics (they're only 20 or 21, I couldn't help but think she will be saying that someday.

Our little gymnast.
This little monkey has been working hard and is gearing up for her first gymnastics show next weekend. I watched like a proud mama as she followed all the directions, stayed with her little team , and used all of the equipment like a pro.
I can't believe how big she is getting. She's a strong little person inside and out.
